As
we enter into the third week of our 40 days of prayer we continue to celebrate
the confidence that we have in prayer.
This week we will be reminded that we can be confident when we address
God because He is our Heavenly Father.
Just as an earthly father seeks the welfare of his flesh-and-blood
children, so our Father in heaven is eager to bless us with “good gifts” in
response to our requests.
Prayer Promise: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and
lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm
139:23-24

SG: Father, we pray on this first day of the
week, that we dedicate this week to You.
Search our hearts and give us the dedication to allow them to be
searched. Cleanse us from all dirt,
grime, and stains we have allowed the world to place on us. Purify our hearts as we begin this week of
prayer. Father, help us to guard our
hearts and to use you as our filter from this world.
