MN: Father we are thankful for all of those who volunteered to serve as ambassadors following Friend Day. Be with them as they make follow-up phone calls and establish relationships. Bless their efforts. Be with Kent and the rest of the staff as they process the contacts and follow up with those interested in Bible studies.
MN: Ask God to be with Dan as he presents the Word of God tomorrow. Pray that the message will penetrate the hearts of those in attendance and we will draw closer to God as a result. Also, ask God to bless the preparations of our Bible class teachers for their classes tomorrow.
IN: Father as we pray for Friend Day, help us to be good friends to those You have placed in our path.

“I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.” - John 13:15-16
PR (Praise), IN (Intercession), CF (Confession), SG (Spiritual Growth), MN (Ministry Needs)
MN: Father, be with those who will be helping with the congregational work day tomorrow morning. We also thank you for the work of Karen Hicks-Langston and all she does to keep our facilities clean.
SG: Father, help us to realize that there are no small roles in the Kingdom and everyone is an important part of the body of Christ. Help us to find ways to serve and to use our gifts and talents for His glory.
IN: Ask God to be with those who have been invited to Friend Day. May He make their hearts receptive and may they see College Avenue as a place to belong, grow, and serve.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” - I Tim. 4:12
PR (Praise), IN (Intercession), CF (Confession), SG (Spiritual Growth), MN (Ministry Needs)
IN: Pray today for the ministry of Jason & Julie Baker, as they work to strengthen our families and young people. Ask God to bless them with wisdom, enthusiasm, and the continued support and participation of our whole church family, young and older.
PR: Father, we thank You for the good kids we have here at College Avenue. Keep them strong as they face a world that does not honor You as it should. Strengthen our marriages and families and help them model godly principles in the home.
MN: Ask God to be with those that the youth group has invited to join them for the youth service this Sunday. Ask God to bless Jason and all of the youth that will be involved in the Youth Day service.

IN: Pray for all 33 of our deacons by name (they are listed on the back of the issue of UpWords you received Sunday). Ask God to bless their ministries.
MN: We are thankful for all of the deacons that willingly volunteered to contact all our members and remind them about Friend Day. We also have several that will be serving on Sunday by: serving on the table, greeting visitors as they enter the building, directing traffic, helping with the food line, and helping with the set up and clean up.
IN: Father, we are thankful for the work of Gary & Cindy Anzalone and for those who assist them as they plan and prepare for the logistics of Friend Day. They always keep the feeding process running smoothly and help make a great day even better.

PR: We praise you, O God, for your greatness; that we can call you “Father”; for the many blessings you have given us, both spiritual and physical; for the opportunities you have given us to serve you; for Jesus, and the great sacrifice made by the Trinity; for our congregation here at College Avenue; and for Your grace.
MN: Many have been brought to Christ in the past twelve months, but others are still studying the Bible or considering their response. Pray for our outreach efforts, and ask God to bless His Word that many more might be brought to saving faith. Pray for those that are currently conducting Bible studies and leading both through instruction and their personal example.
IN: Ask God to bless our shepherds as they lead this good church. Bless them with vision, discernment, and an evangelistic heart. Pray for these men and their families by name: Mike Arnold, Bret Garrett, David Hogg, Mike Meadows, David Ponder, Bruce Simpson, Jim Welch, and Allen White.

SUNDAY, APRIL 3
In preparation for our annual Friend Day, planned for Sunday, April 10, 2011, we ask that you join us in a seven day prayer countdown. Please find the first of the seven daily guides below.
“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.” - Philemon 4-5
PR (Praise), IN (Intercession), CF (Confession), SG (Spiritual Growth), MN (Ministry Needs)
PR: Father we thank you for our friends. We ask that as we begin this prayer guide, You will help us focus on those in our world that do not know You. Guide us to be Your ambassadors in their lives. Give us the right words and actions so that they will see You living through us.
MN: Pray for our Sunday night youth ministries this Spring- for our Children’s Bible Hour, Kids for Christ (KFC), our Middle School Group, and Open Door (our Teen Group)- and for all who are working with them.
MN: Ask God to continue to be with our growth group ministry. Ask God to bless our leaders, co-leaders, and host homes. We are thankful this ministry has thrived with the Lord’s blessing for 12 years. We are thankful for the talents that God has given Dan to write solid, relevant curriculum that speaks to the needs and hearts of the church. May this ministry continue to serve as a source of spiritual growth, fellowship, and evangelism.
